Funding
On campus organizations may qualify for funding for Optix services in the following ways:
- SAFC's Direct Charge Authorization
- This will authorize direct payment of participating local vendors, including Optix, from the Office of Assemblies.
- It allows organizations to avoid paying taxes or paying out-of-pocket.

- SAFC
- Spring 2012 deadline: February 3
- How to prepare: A budget for the entire semester must be prepared right before classes start.

- Maximum funding amount varies each semester, but estimate around $3000-4000. More is allocated to the Fall semester.
- ALANA (African Latino Asian Native American Programming Board)
- Deadline: At least two weeks before event.

- Maximum funding amount has varied, but is generally approximately $700.
- ISB (International Students Board)
- Deadline: At least two weeks before event; recommended about one month before event.

- Maximum funding amount is $400 per semester.
- Bartels Fund/Dean of Students
- Deadline: About four-six weeks into the semester, typically before each break.
- To prepare, get an application from the Office of the Dean of Students, inside Willard Straight Hall. Have price quotes ready for the event planned.
- Maximum funding amount is typically $700. You may or may not be able to apply each semester.
